Lovey

In one month Jason and I will celebrate our second wedding anniversary.  We didn’t have a big wedding, in fact, we eloped.  We didn’t tell anyone but the people we were with… and the guys that Jason worked with (so he could get the weekend off).  When we arrived in New Orleans we had no definate plans, no dress, no flowers and no rings.  We stopped in The Irish Shop and spotted some claddagh’s that Jason liked.  There was one in his size and one in my size.  We took it as a sign.

I had to stopped wearing my ring when I got big pregnant with Mac.  My pre-eclampsia caused me to swell so much that I couldn’t get shoes on, much less rings.  Once Mac was here and I lost all of the swelling I went back to wearing my ring.  Then came the allergy… looks like I’m allergic to some metals when they are in direct contact with my skin.  So now I wear the ring that Jason gave me when we were dating.  It wasn’t really an engagement ring (since we weren’t engaged) it was more of a promise ring.

I still love my wedding ring.  How could I not?

Ma’s Famous Pickles

Filed under: Personal — cleverphoto @ 9:29 pm

My paternal Grandmother (Ma) makes pickles.  These aren’t just any pickles, they are the BEST pickles on the planet.  Don’t believe me?  Just ask my 13 month old son.  He had his first pickle a couple of days ago and I had the camera ready.  Just to head off these questions at the pass: I swear this is his first sweet pickle, I took pictures of the whole thing with no editing, yep-he is a ham and he loves his pickles almost as much as he loves his Momma.

Crazy in Love

I attended my first Crazies meeting last week.  It was truly an eye opening experience!

I created my own little story to go along with these pictures.  It’s all about a beautiful young bride and her dashing and dark husband-to-be.  Yes, before you even ask, my imagination ran away with me.  No, I wasn’t drinking.  Though I hear Antoon’s has a great margarita.  ;D
